For a few years now, we have been welcoming tourists from all over Europe to our typical Alsatian half-timbered house, built in 1707. This Alsatian house is a listed monument located in lovely Dettwiller, which has about 2600 inhabitants. Dettwiller is near Saverne (8km) and only 30 minutes from Strasbourg, capital of Europe, and one hour from the Colmar, the famous wine route. www.ot-saverne.fr and www.tourisme–alsace.com

Saverne is known for its castles : « Château des Rohan, château du haut Barr (medieval) next to the Parc Regional des Vosges du Nord (Protected forests) where you will enjoy magical walks on beaten tracks.

Between Dettwiller and Strasbourg, you will be charmed by Obernai where the famous Alsatian hock wine road.

Dettwiller is a charming village in the north of Alsace, nestled amongst orchards, rivers, vineyards and forests of firs. Our house is located in the center, next to the local baker, butcher, flower merchant , drugstore, supermarket, banks, newspaper shop, tennis courts, and authentic Alsatian restaurants . You will be delighted by the typical Alsatian food at “la Charrue”, and the famous food by “la Crêperie d’Alex  & Manu”).

There are swimming pools only 8 kilometers from Dettwiller (Saverne or Bouxwiller) and tennis courts located in Dettwiller .
